This water-cooled screw chiller has a cooling capacity of 70 tons and can cool 20 tons of milk from 10 degrees to 1 degree Celsius in less than an hour. We know that the lower the temperature, the less efficient it is because even if you insulate the entire piping system, the cooling capacity is lost to the ambient air.

For the dairy industry, we usually recommend cooling with a plate heat exchanger. The cold water is stored in a 2 ton buffer tank to maintain a consistent temperature.
